How to Import Custom Packaging from Pakistan: A Practical Buyer's Guide
Pakistan has quietly become a serious sourcing option for custom packaging. Labour-intensive finishing, hand-wrapped rigid boxes, assembled inserts, engraved gifts, costs a fraction of what it does in Europe or North America, while offset and UV printing quality has caught up with far more expensive markets. This guide covers what to check before you order.
1. Confirm the factory actually manufactures
Many "manufacturers" are brokers who subcontract your job and add margin. Ask to see the floor. A real factory can show you its presses, die-cutting and finishing on video, we publish ours openly on the factory tour page, filmed on our own floor in Lahore.
2. Understand minimums and why they exist
Custom packaging carries setup costs: plates, dies, make-ready. That is why minimums exist. Ours start at 100 pieces for most products, lower than typical Chinese MOQs, because our setup process is built for short and medium runs as well as volume.
3. Approve a proof before production
Never let a factory print without your sign-off. The professional sequence is: artwork review → digital proof (or photographed physical sample) → your written approval → production. Build this into your timeline; it protects both sides.
4. Plan realistic lead times
Production time depends on the product and finish, a printed carton runs faster than a wrapped rigid box with magnets and inserts. Add international freight: air for urgent or light orders, sea for volume. Ask your quote to state production days and shipping days separately, so you can hold the factory to each.
5. Agree shipping terms up front
Clarify who handles freight, insurance and customs at your end. We pack export orders for the journey, reinforced cartons, moisture protection, and ship worldwide. Quotes state exactly what is included.
